Serbia is a beautiful country with rich and turbulent history, fantastic nature and friendly people. Besides Belgrad there are many interesting cities and town, which are worth visiting.
Novi Sad is the second-largest city in Serbia. The historic Old Town and the fortress Petrovaradin are very popular among tourists. It is the quiet city without tumult and crowds but still offering numerous attractions. One of them is an international music festival Exit, organised every year in Novi Sad. In close vicinity to Novi Sad, there is located the National Park of Fruška Gora.
Zlatibor is an another worth visitng place in Serbia. It is a mountain resort located in the Dinaric Alps range, in the west part of Serbi. Zlatibor offers perfect conditions for winter sports and trekking.
In Vrnjacka banja – a resort and mineral spa located in the south part of Serbia – you can spend fantastic holiday among greenery of a park, charming architecture and beauty of nature. Vrnjačka Banja is surrounded by UNESCO sites, so it is a great start point to explore landmarks of Serbia.
Nis is the largest city in the south Serbia and the third-largest city in a whole country. It is surrounded by picturesque mountain landscape, rivers, wonderful gorges, and numerous historical sites. The Jazz Music Festival Nishville is organised there.
Kopaonik is an another mountain resort situated in the central part of Serbia. It is the major ski resort of Serbia. There is also located a national park established in 1981. The park covers a flat area surrounded by mountain peaks. Kapaonik is a habitat of many birds such as rock partridge, scops owl, red-backed shrike.
The city of Subotnica is a real mosaic of nations. It is reflected in magnificent Hungarian architecture, many festivals, a lively student scene. The lake and lakeside town Palić, located close to Subotica, attracts many tourists.
Serbia also offers many interesting spa resorts such as Gornja Trepča, Banja Koviljača, Banja Kanjiža, Banja Palić, Bukovička Banja, Banja Vrdnik, Prolom Banja, Banja Junaković, Niška Banja and more.
